Lektüre und Ablenkung | Presentation and Book Release

From 16 to 29 September 2023, Studio Michael Müller will show the large-scale, 126-part index Lektüre und Ablenkung (2016/17) in the studio space at Lise-Meitner-Straße, Berlin, in cooperation with the Wemhöner Collection. The work engages with Jaques Derrida’s book Vom Geist and uses a variety of techniques—from drawings to collages, texts, prints and photographs—to capture the inevitable distractions when reading a book.

Volume 4.2 of the catalogue raisonné Ernstes Spiel is available in time for the opening of the presentation, with over 200 pages devoted exclusively to the work Lektüre und Ablenkung.
