Abstract
In its jubilee year 2021, the Fotostiftung Schweiz (Swiss Foundation for Photography), with headquarters in Winterthur, lay the foundation for future research, collection, conservation, and restoration of the medium in a project on nineteenth-century photography in all regions of Switzerland. Possible focuses are critical discussion of the concept of photography and of maintaining its cartography from a national perspective as well as expanding its research in the European context.
